MiCA member state (MFSA as NCA). Crypto pioneer — Virtual Financial Assets Act (2018) was Europe's first bespoke framework. Markets in Crypto-Assets Act (Chapter 647) enacted Nov 2024 to implement MiCA, phasing out the VFA regime. ESMA flagged MFSA for fast-tracking a CASP authorisation.
