MiCA member state (Central Bank of Ireland as NCA). SI 607/2024 designated CBI as sole supervisor with shortened 12-month transition (ending Dec 2025). Major EU crypto hub — Coinbase, Ripple, Gemini, and 15+ firms on VASP register. CBI imposed record EUR 21.5M fine on Coinbase Europe for AML failures (Nov 2025).
