Cyprus — crypto regulation
Status: legal · Last reviewed 2026-11-05
MiCA member state (CySEC as NCA). CySEC stopped accepting national CASP registrations in Oct 2024 ahead of MiCA. The AML Amendment Law (Jun 2025) implemented the crypto travel rule. ESMA's interim register lists 24 active Cyprus MiCA CASPs, including eToro, Revolut Digital Assets (Europe), Trading 212, XTB and NAGA X; many were authorised in Jun–Jul 2026 around the end of the transition period. The earlier '87 licensed CASPs' figure referred to the pre-MiCA national register.
